After leaving the US Air Force in 1987, Donnie has worked in the wireless industry with both carriers and vendors both within the US and internationally. With deployments in 16 countries and over 30 US- based wireless markets, He has extensive experience in RF design & engineering, as well as site acquisition, zoning and construction management. Donnie brings over 28 years of wireless RF engineering design, site placement and network operations experience. Prior to joining Southern Towers, Donnie has worked for some of the largest commercial wireless networks in the United States deploying systems in both the Northeast and Southeast markets for Nextel, Cricket, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T. He has designed and assisted in the roll-out of over 3000 telecommunication towers in his professional career.
Recently, as Launch Director for Cricket Wireless, Donnie oversaw the launch of the BAWA Market. The scope of the project was the test and turn up of over 700 cell sites in the Baltimore, MD and Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area. The work included the turn up of two packet switch offices, as well as the development and selection of candidates to help maintain the new network launch for Cricket Wireless.
Prior to that, Donnie was the Vice President of Engineering at Signal One, and as such held the responsibility of designing the Signal One portfolio to meet the needs and future growth plans of the Signal One client base. He currently resides in Chattanooga, TN.
